We were originally going to buy a tiny, tabletop tree since we have such a small flat here in SF… but then we stumbled upon this awesome 7.5′ footer on Craigslist last week…
Here it is not fully decorated. It has a remote control, and you can set it to have all clear, all multi, or both sets of lights on. I did not realize trees were so high-tech now. :)

That is crazy! I had no idea about remote control tree! Some guy invented this to 1) avoid hanging lights on a tree, and to 2) take control of another remote! That is wild.
Too funny, you are probably right! Though, I have to say, I’m grateful for not having to hang lights… that’s my least favorite part :)
